The point of the blog!?!

I still dont think i've found out the point of blogging but i think that is it, there doesnt have to be a point! it can just be a way for people to put forward there views, feelings, opinions or ideas. its only the same as writing a diary but in a public way. Budding writers often use a blog to publish their own short stories articles or poems, and it can be a great way for them to get started. A lot of money can be made from popular blogs such as the belle de jour blog, chronicling the life of a "high class hooker". It has since been published as a book and has even made into a tv show. However the majority of bloggers dont make much money from it, its just another way of social networking and a bit of fun i suppose!!
